Event Details

If there is a heart in Heartland, WE'RE IT!

And if there is bread in the nation's breadbasket, it probably came from us. Indiana has a long and proud agricultural heritage, and we plan on continuing that heritage the same way it began.

Dig IN, A Taste of Indiana

On August 29, 2010, Indiana chefs, growers and producers will make their way to White River State Park to showcase their high quality locally produced products, and remind Hoosiers there is much more than corn in Indiana.  Prepare to be entertained by Indiana agricultural and culinary experts as they invite you on a journey from field to tabletop.

Dig IN will feature educational discussion panels, cooking demonstrations, urban gardening exhibits, local expert Q&A sessions, wine tastings, beer and food pairing, and much more. Combining the freshness of farmer's markets and our state's greatest food minds, this event promises a feast for the senses. Don't miss the opportunity to help us celebrate all that Indiana agriculture has to offer.

The Details

Food

The area's greatest food minds will be preparing a unique dish based on Indiana's farm fresh produce and protein. Attendees can interact directly with the chef as well as the producer while dining on a 2-ounce taste.

Beverages

Dig IN has partnered with the Indiana Wine Grape Council and the Indiana Brewers Guild for the wine and beer for the event. Beverages will be available for taste and purchase.  Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase.

Entertainment & Speakers

The Celebration Amphitheater will stage three, local Indianapolis bands performing throughout the afternoon. Just across the plaza near the Pumphouse, join local entertainers and experts as they discuss dairy in your diet, home gardening, wine making and many other cutting edge topics.

Tickets will increase by $5.00 on the day of the event and sales will be capped at 6,000 tickets.
